Consistently ranked as one of the top farmers markets in Texas, McKinney Farmers Market at Chestnut Square is a market you will want to return to time and time again. Vendors offer local, grass fed beef and free range chicken, but you’ll also find specialty items such as tamales, pastries, jerky and more.
There is also a wide selection of arts and crafts vendors who offer everything from locally made goat milk soap to wood-turned bowls. A monthly feature is Art in the Market, where a local artisan will demonstrate his or her skills. Potters, painters and a wide variety of artisans offer free demonstrations every Saturday morning in the Chapel garden.
Live music, face painting and pony rides are always a treat and available every Saturday the market is open.
